Biography

Defender Riley Moloney was awarded a two-year scholarship with Derby County in the summer of 2021 after climbing the ranks as a schoolboy before signing professional terms ahead of the 2023/24 season to move to the Under-21s squad.

The attacking full-back made six appearances for the Under-18s, scoring one goal and adding an assist, while still an Under-16s player in the 2020/21 season.

Moloney made four further outings for the Under-18s in Premier League - North during the 2021/22 campaign and throughout 2022/23, Moloney made 18 appearances for the Under-18s whilst also making three appearances for the Under-21s in Premier League 2.

In 2023/24, Moloney stepped up in age group and featured 16 times for the Under-21s in Premier League 2, scoring once and providing one assist.
