Harry Hawkins was one of several players to join Derby County’s Under-21s squad on a full-time basis in the summer of 2024 after two years with the Under-18s.

Hawkins was rewarded with a two-year scholarship after excelling at youth level in the 2021/22 campaign, during which time he was named as the Academy Player of the Year for his performances.

Whilst still a schoolboy he racked up 16 league appearances for the Under-18s over the course of the campaign.

In 2022/23, his development ramped up even further as he made 31 appearances, 16 for the Under-21s and 15 for the Under-18s.

He also earned a spot on the bench for the first team during their EFL Trophy clash again Manchester City Under-21s at Pride Park Stadium in October 2022.

Hawkins continued to be a valued member of the Academy set-up across 2023/24, featuring 30 times in all competitions; 15 of those appearances being for the Under-21s.

The midfielder was also part of a senior matchday squad in November 2023 as the Rams defeated Wolves Under-21s in the EFL Trophy Group Stages.
