Derby County’s Under-21s completed the signing of Republic of Ireland youth international Freddie Turley from League of Ireland side Shamrock Rovers in July 2024

Turley impressed after joining League of Ireland First Division outfit Bray Wanderers on loan in January 2024, making 22 league appearances and a further three in the Leinster Senior Cup.

Turley, who joined the Rams on a three-year deal until 2027, played for Shamrock Rovers in the Leinster Senior Cup, as well as turning out in the UEFA Youth League.

A versatile player, Turley can play all through the middle of the park and has experience on the wing and at full-back.

Turley has international experience, having risen through the youth ranks in the Republic of Ireland setup, playing at Under-16 through to Under-19 level.

He also made three appearances as a right full-back during last year’s UEFA European Under-19 Championship.
