Daniel Cox was one of several players to join Derby County’s Under-21 squad on a full-time basis in the summer of 2024.
Cox is a left-footed centre-back and he racked up five appearances for the Under-18s whilst still an Under-16s player in the 2021/22 campaign.
In 2022/23, he made 11 appearances for the Under-18s and made three for the Under-21s in Premier League 2.
Cox progressed further in 2023/24, playing 12 times for the Under-21s across the course of the season.
In November 2023, he made his debut for the senior team by coming on as a substitute in the EFL Trophy home victory over Wolves Under-21s.
Cox is a Wales youth international at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17 level and, as of the 2023/24 season, Under-19 level.
