Biography

Daisy Burt became Derby County Women’s seventh summer addition after joining Sam Griffiths’ side on a season-long loan from Newcastle United in August 2024.

The teenage full-back joined after a season on loan with fourth-tier Middlesbrough last term as they secured a second-placed finish, missing out on promotion to Derby’s league by seven points.

The young defender began her senior career with Sunderland in 2021/22 before moving from Wearside to Tyneside, when she joined Newcastle United a season later and cemented a place in the Magpies' first team as they were promoted to the third tier.

Burt also has youth international experience, representing England as a member of the multiple Young Lionesses squads from Under-14 to Under-18 level.
