John Eustace hailed the work ethic and focus of his Derby County side ahead of their Sky Bet Championship clash at Swansea City on Saturday.

The Head Coach guided his side to their fourth consecutive win in the Sky Bet Championship as they continued their excellent form following the March international break with a battling 2-0 home win over Preston North End on Wednesday night.

A visit to 16th-placed Swansea comes next for Derby on Saturday 5th April (3pm kick-off) as they look to continue putting points on the board in their quest to remain in the second tier.

Eustace spoke to RamsTV ahead of the weekend’s action against the Swans.

On Wednesday night’s win over Preston North End…

It was a really hard-fought win, I thought the lads were fantastic. Their attitude was excellent on the night against a really difficult opponent. In the last two weeks the lads have worked their socks off in training, it hasn't been a holiday period for sure.

The attitude of the boys for the last two and a half weeks has been very good, so to see that come out in a really difficult Championship game is really pleasing.

On the importance of rest and recuperation ahead of a busy fixture schedule…

We're in an industry where we have to prepare properly and there's a lot of adrenaline flying about. Everyone prepares differently; everyone sleeps differently. It's just important that the players get their rest now for the next game, which is on Saturday.

On the improvements in recent performances…

Our togetherness and the work ethic has been there for everyone to see. That never-say-die attitude has been there. Most importantly, the fans have been right behind the group since the first game. There are seven matches to go and the fans' support has been magnificent. They're certainly playing their part at Pride Park at the moment, and I know that will continue from now until the end of the season.

On Saturday’s opponents Swansea City...

They are a very good Championship team, coached very well and have good Championship players, so we know it's going to be a tough challenge. We're looking forward to it.

I can see the commitment of the players is there. Everyone wants to do very well for this fantastic football club. I want to create a family environment. The only way you do that is to show commitment towards the club. Everyone - the fans, the staff, the players - are certainly doing that.
