Midfielder Ebou Adams has urged Derby County to retain their intensity and desire after a positive 0-0 draw against high-flying Burnley at Pride Park Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Rams put in a hard shift against a side who came into the game top of the Sky Bet Championship tree and kept honours even to get a point on the board.
Both sides had chances to win it with Matt Clarke and Jerry Yates going close for Derby, while Zian Flemming had the best opportunity for Burnley.
Adams spoke to RamsTV to reflect on a hard-fought point on home turf.
On a big point earned against Burnley…
At the end of the day, I think it's a fair result. Our goalkeeper [Jacob Widell Zetterström] pulled off a great save for us - and we had enough very good chances to put it away. I think in the end it was a fair result.
On showing character to see out the game and bounce back from a 1-0 defeat at Swansea on Saturday…
In a way, [performing against Burnley after the result against Swansea City] is a little bit frustrating because we gave them an easy goal on Saturday and then can perform like that tonight! It shows that we can do it.
Now we have to look to Saturday at Portsmouth and then be consistent with the same level of performance. We can’t take our foot off the gas; we've got to keep going.
On the feeling in the group with five league games to go…
It's in our hands. We've got to stay positive and then, as scary as it is, enjoy the ride.
