Head Coach John Eustace urged Derby County's squad to continue showing a ‘never-say-die attitude’ and to embrace the ‘awesome’ Pride Park Stadium atmosphere as they prepare to face Coventry City on Tuesday night (7:45pm kick-off).

Derby secured their first win under the tutelage of Eustace with a 2-1 triumph over Blackburn Rovers on Saturday. Craig Forsyth and Ebou Adams’ early goals were enough to claim a valuable three Sky Bet Championship points at Pride Park.

The Rams are hoping the win can be a catalyst for success as they look ahead to a clash against in-form play-off hopefuls Coventry on Tuesday night.

Eustace spoke to RamsTV to preview Derby’s Championship meeting with the Sky Blues.

On how the squad is shaping up ahead of Tuesday’s action…

We're in the same position as what we were going into the game on Saturday. We've just got to be cautious of overloading the players as well. We've got players coming back from injury, so we have to manage their minutes properly, especially in a three-game week.

On the mood in the group after Saturday’s victory…

The lads were delighted with the win on Saturday, I think everyone was. It was a good feeling, but we've got to park that now because we've got a massive game again on Tuesday night. The boys were very focused coming into training and are looking forward to the game.

On Saturday’s win showing progress made on the training field and around the club…

It was a group effort on Saturday. It was a huge effort from the fans, the players, the staff. It was a great day, obviously. There's lots and lots I want to bring to the football club and to the team, but the most important thing is that we've got that competitiveness in the group which we have and that never-say-die attitude. I think it was there for everyone to see on Saturday.

We're going into the last ten matches of the season now, so the performances are important, but it's about getting results now. We have to prepare for each game as they come. The next is on Tuesday night and it is a huge one which we've prepared properly for. We'll have a game plan for it and we'll see where it takes us.

On the atmosphere at Pride Park Stadium…

It was amazing [on Saturday against Blackburn] and that's what I remember seeing here as a player. That's what I want to bring to this football club week in, week out. You could see that togetherness was there. The Derby County family was there for everyone to see. It was a very proud day for me to lead the boys at Pride Park in front of such an awesome atmosphere.
