Derby County defender Sondre Langas has been chosen to represent Norway for their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures.


Langås has made seven appearances and impressed for the Rams since signing from Norwegian side Viking FK at the startof February - including making a substitute appearance in John Eustace’s side’s 3-2 win at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

The 24-year-old has made two appearances for Norway, making substitute appearances during their UEFA Nations League B campaign last year.

He has joined back up with the squad for the March 2025 international window as they kick off their UEFA Group I World Cup qualifying games. The Nordic side will face Moldova (Saturday 22nd March, 6pm kick-off) and Israel (Tuesday 25th March, 8:45pm kick-off).
