Derby County midfielder Ebou Adams has received a call-up to the Gambia squad ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures over the March international fixture period.
The 29-year-old has joined up with the Gambia squad for their Confederation of African Football Group F qualifying fixtures.
The Scorpions currently sit third in their group after four games. Côte d’Ivoire top the group with three wins and one draw - Adams' nation have one win to their name.
The Gambia have two fixtures over the international window, both in Côte d’Ivoire, starting with a clash against Kenya at the Alassane Stadium on Thursday 20th March (7pm kick-off). They will then play the group leaders at Biogny Stadium four days later on Monday 24th March (7pm kick-off).
The top finisher in each of the nine groups will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The second round will pit the four best runners-up in two one-off semi-finals, followed by a final. The winner of this second round will participate in the FIFA Play-Off Tournament.
Adams has made 20 international appearances since he received his first call-up to represent his nation in August 2018. He has made 36 Sky Bet Championship appearances for Derby County in the 2024/25 season and has also captained the Rams side since the arrival of Head Coach John Eustace in February.
