Nine Derby County players from the Men's First Team and Academy set-ups joined up with their respective international squads for the March fixture period.

Here's a look at how the players got on with their countries ahead of reporting back for duty with the Rams.

Ebou Adams - Gambia

Midfielder Ebou Adams joined the Gambia squad for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying fixtures.

The 29-year-old started against Group F winners Ivory Coast (1-0 loss) on Monday 24th March and featured as a 77th-minute substitute in a 3-3 draw against Kenya Thursday 20th March.

Sondre Langas - Norway

Defender Sondre Langås was part of the Norwegian squad for their UEFA Group 1 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying games.

Norway sit top of their table after a convincing 5-0 win over Moldova on Saturday 23rd March and a 4-2 victory over Israel on Tuesday 25th March. Langas was a part of the matchday squad in the latter as an unused substitute as he failed to add to his two senior caps so far.

Norway will look to keep hold of that top spot when they play the remainder of their qualifying games in June.

Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - Guatemala

Forward Nathaniel Mendez-Laing joined up with the Guatemala squad as they qualified for the CONCACAF Gold Cup group stages.

Los Chapines beat Guyana 4-3 on aggregate over two legs. Mendez-Laing came on as a substitute in the first leg (3-2 loss) and started in the second leg, where his side recorded a 2-0 victory.

Harrison Armstrong - England Under-18

Everton loanee Harrison Armstrong recorded his fifth and sixth caps for England's Under-18s as they played three friendlies in the international break.

The 18-year-old midfielder started for Liam Bramley’s side in a 2-2 draw against France and 1-0 victory over Portugal. Armstrong was on the bench for the first friendly against Czechia.

Demiane Agustien – Netherlands Under-18

Demiane Agustien, who is 17, was called up to the Netherlands Under-18 squad for the first time and featured in both of his side’s friendlies during the international break.

The attacking midfielder received his first start for the Dutch side as they won 1-0 against Denmark on Thursday 20th March and he came on as a substitute in a 1-0 defeat to Germany on Sunday 23rd March.

Daniel Cox and Cruz Allen - Wales Under-19

Defender Daniel Cox and midfielder Cruz Allen joined up with the Wales Under-19 squad for their Group 7 UEFA Championship Elite Round qualifying fixtures.

Allen added three more caps to his tally as he featured as a substitute against England (1-0 loss), Portugal (1-0 loss). The midfielder started in the final game of the international break as they beat Turkey 3-1, taking his total caps to 23. Cox didn't feature in any of the matches.

England finished top of Elite Group 7, followed by Portugal, then Wales, with Turkey at the bottom.

Freddie Turley - Republic of Ireland Under-19

Versatile performer Freddie Turley headed to Germany to represent the Republic of Ireland Under-19 squad for their UEFA European Championship Elite Round matches.

Turley is a midfielder by trade, but captained Tom Mohan’s Under-19 squad from right back in all three games.

Ireland lost their opening match to Finland 3-0, drew their second match against Slovenia 1-1 and lost 1-0 to group winners Germany.

Darren Robinson - Northern Ireland Under-21

Midfielder Darren Robinson was involved in all three of Northern Ireland Under-21s' matchday squads as they played a mini tournament in preparation for their UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying group stage fixtures later in the year.

Robinson started in a 1-0 defeat to Ukraine Under-20 on Saturday 22nd March and was one of only two players to keep his spot in the starting line-up as he captained his side in a 1-0 victory over Uzbekistan on Tuesday 25th March. The 20-year-old featured on the bench in the game against Moldova (1-1) on Thursday 20th March.
