Derby County will travel to London to face Queens Park Rangers in the Sky Bet Championship on Friday night as John Eustace will take charge of the side for the first time (8pm kick-off).
Eustace will be in the dugout after being appointed as Derby’s new Head Coach on Thursday. The Rams will be looking to get points on the board after securing two battling draws against Norwich City and Oxford United to stem an unwanted losing run in the league - and are hoping the two points can be a platform to build on.
QPR sit 13th in the Championship after 32 games - with 10 wins and 11 draws to their name under the tutelage of Marti Cifuentes this season. The Rams came out on top when the sides met at Pride Park in October as Curtis Nelson and Marcus Harness were on the scoresheet against the Hoops in a 2-0 win.
Team News
Right-sider Kane Wilson sustained a hamstring injury in last month’s fixture against Sunderland and isn’t expected to be available as he continues his recovery.
Winger Corey Blackett-Taylor is also set to miss an extended period with a hamstring issue picked up at the end of January.
Centre-back Curtis Nelson is absent for the rest of the season after suffering a cruciate ligament knee injury in January.
Striker Dajaune Brown is expected to be on the sidelines for the rest of the 2024/25 campaign with a hamstring injury.
