The Sky Bet EFL Every Minute Matters Relay is launching on Tuesday 25th March 2025, marking the next phase of Sky Bet and British Heart Foundation's (BHF) powerful ‘Every Minute Matters’ campaign.
This exciting initiative is set to inspire football fans across the country to take part in something life-changing: learning CPR.
A nationwide relay for lifesaving action
The relay will see 72 EFL Clubs come together for a unique charity event that spans four weeks and covers an incredible 4000km.
It will kick off in Barrow and Plymouth before finishing in London on Easter Monday, with each leg of the journey carried out by fans.
Participants will run, walk, or cycle each segment of the route to complete the relay, and many have personal connections to CPR or cardiac arrest.
Unlike most charity events, this relay isn’t asking for financial donations. Instead, it’s all about giving the gift of time.
Sky Bet has already committed to donating up to £3 million to support the vital work of BHF, and now, they’re calling on football fans to get involved by donating just 15 minutes of their time to learn CPR through BHF’s free, online tool RevivR.
How can you get involved?
There are two powerful ways you can join the Sky Bet EFL Every Minute Matters Relay and make a real difference:
Sign up today to take part in the relay! Fans can apply to walk, run, or cycle a leg of the relay, representing their EFL Club.
Support those who sign up. Not ready to take on a leg of the relay? You can still help by supporting those who are!
Share their stories, cheer them on, and encourage your friends, family, and fellow fans to back the cause.
Plus, you can still donate 15 minutes of your time to complete the BHF’s RevivR CPR training, which takes just 15 minutes but could help save a life.
