Derby County are proud to support Time to Talk Day, a vital initiative focused on encouraging all of us to be more open about our mental health.

To mark the day - which falls on Thursday 6th February 2025 - the club have produced a video entitled Here for Each Other to carry a message about the importance of supporting those around you and leaning on others when required.

Two benches are to be installed near the main entrance of Pride Park Stadium this month, with one in memory of long-serving Derby County staff member Sid Marson, who sadly passed away in 2023.

Sid was a part of the football club for 62 years and he became known as someone who always had time to talk and who anybody could rely on.

The short film features three members of his family - Phil, Emma and Chris - as well as staff and participants who are involved both within the football club and the Derby County Community Trust.

It displays the significance of talking to each other, letting others know that you are there to listen and encourage those who are struggling to reach out for support.

The Community Trust run a number of projects to support the mental health of anybody who may need their help and the long-term plan is for the benches to be utilised in conjunction with their drop-in sessions and wellbeing programmes.
