James Collins has left Derby County to join Lincoln City on a permanent deal.
The striker moves on following a successful two-and-a-half year stay at Pride Park Stadium.
Collins was one of the club’s first signings under the ownership of Clowes Developments (UK) Ltd and he was an integral part of the side that won automatic promotion to the Sky Bet Championship under Paul Warne last season.
The 34-year-old top scored with 19 league goals to fire the Rams back to the second tier after a two-year absence.
He was a key influence at Moor Farm, Pride Park and on the road throughout the 2023/24 campaign as Warne’s side set two club records – for points achieved in a season and away wins in a campaign – on their way to promotion.
In total, the striker found the net 31 times in 118 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Everyone at Derby County would like to thank James for his service to the club and wish him every success in the future.
