Midfielder Ebou Adams says the Derby County squad have to ‘remain positive’ and learn the lessons from their defeat against Watford on Saturday.

The Rams fell to a 2-0 loss on home turf as the Hornets netted early on and doubled their lead in the second half after withstanding a flurry of Derby attacks either side of half-time.

Adams spoke to RamsTV after the game at Pride Park Stadium to give his take on the 90 minutes.

On coming away second best against Watford…

It's a tough one to take; I feel the performance doesn't resemble the result. We had very good chances. We hit the crossbar a few times, the post and Jerry had a great chance earlier on. If we can put them awaym then we can win the game handsomely. However, Watford scoring did take a little dagger to the heart. Football is a game of moments. They took their moments; we didn't take ours.

On close chances at the start of both halves…

I'll be honest with you, I ran off celebrating thinking it (Jerry Yates early chance) was going in. That's sometimes the luck not going your way and hitting the crossbar twice in 10 seconds is ridiculous. I'm staying positive because we're having very good chances. It's just if we can put them away then, do you know what? We go home in a different mood.

On needing to turn around fortunes after a difficult run of losses…

The performances have been there. If we take our chances, then it can turn. If we weren’t making any good chances and if we had zero shots, then I'd be worried. I'm not worried at all. We're pushing. We're getting good chances. If we just take our moments and defend the box and attack the box well, then things will start turning in our favour.
