Derby County will be in Boxing Day action at Pride Park Stadium in the Sky Bet Championship when they go head-to-head with West Bromwich Albion on Thursday (5:30pm kick-off).

Paul Warne’s Rams will be looking for a swift response after suffering a late 2-1 defeat against Luton Town at Kenilworth Road last Friday and hoping to carry on where they left off on home turf, after securing a rampant 4-0 win over Portsmouth a fortnight ago.

Carlos Corberan’s West Brom side come into the game off the back of a 2-0 home success against Bristol City on Sunday. Before a defeat against Watford two weeks ago, the Baggies had been on a 12-game unbeaten run in the league - including two wins over Hull City and Coventry CIt.

Team News

Centre-back Eiran Cashin remains sidelined until after the festive period following a hamstring injury picked up in the recent home win over Pompey.

Midfielder Liam Thompson sat out the loss at Luton with a minor hamstring issue and is a doubt for the meeting with the Baggies.

Defender Ryan Nyambe (knee) and midfielder David Ozoh (quad) are also still out of action as they continue their respective rehabilitation programmes into the new year.
