Derby County Under-21s goalkeeper Josh Shattell has joined Isthmian League South East side Erith Town on a short-term loan.

The 19-year-old shot-stopper has linked up with the East London club on a month-long loan deal. Erith will play against the likes of Burgess Hill Town, Ashford United and Herne Bay over the duration of the loan spell.

Shattell has played one game for Jake Buxton’s Under-21s side in Premier League 2 so far this season, before embarking on a short-term loan with Northern Premier East Division side Carlton Town last month and will look to continue to gain senior football experience with the Dockers.

The goalkeeper joined up with the Rams after impressing in a trial game towards the end of the 2021/22 season and played nine times in 2022/23 for the Under-18s in total. In 2023/24, he had a spell on loan at Forest Green Rovers and made one further appearance for the Under-18s.
