Derby County will face Coventry City on the road in the Sky Bet Championship on Wednesday night (7:45pm kick-off).


The Rams will be looking to return to winning ways after their four-game unbeaten run was ended by Stoke City in 2-1 loss at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

Derby picked up three points in a 2-0 win against Queens Park Rangers before the last international break at Pride Park Stadium, as well as playing out three 1-1 draws against Millwall, Oxford United and Hull City. Paul Warne’s side sit 14th in the Championship table after 13 games, with 15 points.

Coventry City also have 15 points but sit one place above Derby in the league table on goal difference. Mark Robins’ team come into Wednesday’s fixture off the back of a 3-0 win over Middlesbrough on Teesside on Saturday.

Right-back Ryan Nyambe remains sidelined with a knee injury he sustained a fortnight ago against Millwall. Fellow right-sider Kane Wilson is set to be back in contention after being sidelined through injury prior to the Stoke game with a knee issue of his own.


On-loan Wolves winger Tawanda Chirewa remains out of action with a thigh issue, while on-loan Crystal Palace midfielder David Ozoh is still recovering after picking up a quad injury following his recuperation from a hamstring injury sustained against Cardiff City in September.

Derby's allocation of tickets for Wednesday’s match at the Coventry Building Society Arena has sold out. Those fans without a ticket are advised not to make the trip to Coventry, as they will be unable to gain access to the stadium.

Sam Allison will referee the Rams’ Championship fixture against the Sky Blues. Allison has officiated six Championship games in the 2024/25 campaign and has handed out 33 yellow cards and no red cards.

He has only officiated a competitive Derby fixture on one previous occasion, in October 2022's League One clash with Port Vale at Pride Park Stadium.

Greg Read and Hugh Gilroy will be the Assistant Referees alongside Fourth Official John Busby.
