Derby County Under-21s goalkeeper Josh Shattell has joined Northern Premier East Division side Carlton Town on a short-term loan.
The 19-year-old shot-stopper has joined the club on a loan deal that will run until Sunday 1st December 2024. The non-league side will play against Ossett United, North Ferriby, Dunston and Brighouse Town over the course of the loan spell.
Shattell has made one appearance for the Under-21s in Premier League 2 this term and will look to gain senior football experience with the Millers.
He joined Derby County’s Under-18s squad as a first-year scholar in the summer of 2022 and he went on to move up to the Under-21s ahead of the 2024/25 campaign. Shattell had previously been on the books at non-league side Tooting and Mitcham United before joining Derby’s Academy.
