Derby County Under-21s defender Ryan Bartley’s short-term loan spell with National League North side Hereford has been extended until January 2025.
The 20-year-old joined Hereford for an initial 28-day loan which saw the Bulls play against Buxton, Curzon Ashton, Warrington Town, Farsley Celtic, Chester, Oxford City and Marine.
The loan period has now been extended to give the versatile defender more senior football experience with the National League North side, who impressed during his first month with Hereford and was named as their October Player of the Month.
Bartley scored in the first minute of Hereford's clash with Marine on Saturday, as the Bulls charged to a 4-0 win.
He has previously had experience in non-league football when he joined National League South side Eastbourne Borough on loan in the 2022/23 season when he was affiliated with Premier League side Crystal Palace.
He joined the Rams in the summer of 2023 after leaving Palace and featured 12 times for Jake Buxton’s Under-21s during the 2023/24 Premier League 2 season and was nominated for the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award in December 2023.
He also had a loan spell similar spell on loan with National League North side Spennymoor Town earlier this season.
