Paul Warne has confirmed Derby County’s starting line-up for today’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Queens Park Rangers at Pride Park Stadium (3pm kick-off).
The Rams will be aiming to continue their impressive start to life on home turf this season, with four wins from five in all competitions. Derby’s winning run of ten games, which ran from March 2024, came to an end with a 3-2 defeat to Norwich City last weekend.
Queens Park Rangers come to Pride Park holding seven points from eight games in the Championship, with their only win a 2-1 success over Luton Town in August. Head Coach Marti Cifuentes and assistant Xavi Calm committed their futures to the Rs, signing a new deal with the London club earlier this week.
Eighteen-year-old midfielder Freddie Turley has earned a place on the bench after training with the first team squad earlier in the week. He has featured four times for Jake Buxton’s Under-21s in Premier League 2 so far this term.
The Irish youth international joined the Rams from Shamrock Rovers in the summer, on a three-year deal that runs until 2027.
The Rams will be without left-back Callum Elder (groin) and on-loan midfielder David Ozoh until after the upcoming international break.
Forward Tom Barkhuizen (calf) and Liam Thompson (quad) are making progress in their rehabilitation and could return to training during the international break.
Midfielder Ben Osborn, attacking midfieler Tawanda Chirewa and defender Sonny Bradley miss out on a place in the squad owing to injury.
