Derby County midfielder Ebou Adams has joined up with the Gambian national team for their African Cup of Nations Preliminary Qualifying matches against Madagascar.

Adams has been a constant in Paul Warne’s Rams squad in the Sky Bet Championship, making nine appearances since signing on a permanent deal in the summer, after an inspired loan spell in the second half of the 2023/24 promotion-winning campaign from League One.

The midfielder will link up with the Scorpions’ squad ahead of an AFCON Qualifying double-header with Madagascar. The Gambia will play out their fixtures in Morocco, on Friday 11th October and Monday 14th October.
