Derby County Under-21s defender Dan Cox has joined Enfield Town on a month-long loan deal.

The centre-back will look to gain senior football experience over the course of a 28-day loan at the National League South side. The Towners have six fixtures lined up over the duration of Cox’s loan deal - including clashes with Aveley, Chesham United and Salisbury.

Cox has been a regulear in Jake Buxton’s Under-21s side, making four appearances in Premier League 2 so far this term. He committed his future to the Rams when signed his first professional contract with the club over the summer.

The loan will be the 18-year-old's first experience of senior competition since making his first appearance for Derby’s first team in the EFL Trophy home victory over Wolves Under-21s in November 2023.

Cox is a Wales youth international at Under-15, Under-16, Under-17 level and, as of the 2023/24 season, Under-19 level.

He most recently captained the Cymru Under-19s side in the October international break as they drew 2-2 with Italy Under-19s.
