Craig Forsyth believes the togetherness and team spirit will see Derby County through this season after their ten-game unbeaten run at Pride Park Stadium was ended by Norwich City on Saturday.

Long-serving defender Forsyth made his first start in the Sky Bet Championship for the Rams this season and netted his first goal of the campaign in the 3-2 loss against the Canaries.

The experienced left-back caught up with RamsTV after the game to discuss a strong performance.

On losing their first home game of the season against Norwich City…

We showed our team spirit. At 2-1 down and 3-1 down, we were still going for it. The goalkeeper for Norwich made some unbelievable saves towards the end to give them the win.

On his first Rams goal of the season…

Set of pieces are a big thing for us. We worked on them and decided to change it up a little bit. It came off and worked again, so the credit goes to the coaches.

On Derby’s performance in the second period…

In the second half, we went after it a bit more and when we scored, the crowd got up and everybody was behind us. We were probably on top for the next five or ten minutes. After that their second goal went in, but our team spirit was there and we didn't give up. We kept going and probing it when it was 3-1.

On Corey Blackett-Taylor getting his first goal for Derby…

We’re delighted for him. Hopefully that’s what Corey needs to give him the boost in confidence to kick on. I think all the substitues, the gaffer's said it in the dressing room, came on and made a difference when they came on. Kane Wilson was bulldozing past people, as usual. Everybody's pulling in the same direction - it's a tight group.

On the importance of the team and fans’ togetherness…

The crowd staying when you're 3-1 down, with five or ten minutes to go, shows you that they are sticking with you and we needed it as well. They helped push us on, so we're going to need them throughout the season.
