Derby County's Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been called up for Guatemala’s September international fixtures.
The 32-year-old forward has been a linchpin in the Guatemala side since receiving his first call-up and making his debut against Cuba in the Gold Cup last year.
Mendez-Laing has made six appearances in all competitions so far in the 2024/25 campaign and was named as PFA League One Fans’ Player of The Season for his vital contribution to Paul Warne’s promotion-winning team in the 2023/24 campaign.
He will make up a vital part of the Los Chapines' squad to face Martinique (Thursday 5th September) and Costa Rica (Monday 9th September) in the CONCACAF Nations League competition.
