Derby County midfielder Ebou Adams will be part of the Gambia squad for September’s African Cup of Nations Preliminary Qualifying Rounds.

Gambia will play Comoros (Wednesday 4th September) and Tunisia (Sunday 8th September) as they look to progress on the road to qualification for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The midfielder re-joined Derby over the summer after a successful loan spellat Pride Park in the latter part of the 2023/24 season was pivotal to the Rams’ League One promotion success.


The midfielder has scored once from four appearances in the Sky Bet Championship this season, with a goal against Watford at Vicarage Road and played a pivotal role in the Rams' recent 3-0 victory over Bristol City at Pride Park Stadium.

Adams has been a frequent fixture in the Gambia squad since first joining up with the team in 2018 and has collected 18 caps with his national side.
