Derby County striker Dajaune Brown has signed a new contract with the club.
After signing professional terms last summer, the 18-year-old has now penned a new deal that will run until the summer of 2027.
Brown is a graduate of the Derby County Academy and after excelling with the Under-18s and then Under-21s, he made the first of his eight senior appearances for the Rams against Blackpool in the Carabao Cup in August 2023.
He followed this up by making an impact on loan at Gateshead in the National League, where he scored 10 goals in 22 appearances in all competitions during the second half of last season, winning the league’s Player of the Month award for March.
Brown produced his stand-out moments during Gateshead’s successful FA Trophy campaign, as he scored a hat-trick in the quarter-finals before going on to score an extra-time equaliser and then the winning penalty in the final against Solihull Moors.
He was also named as Derby’s Scholar of the Year at the club’s 2023/24 End of Season Awards night.
So far this season, he has been named in Paul Warne’s matchday squad for all seven games in all competitions, making three appearances, including a start in Round One of the Carabao Cup against Chesterfield at Pride Park Stadium.
