Derby County will play their first home game of the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship season when they take on Middlesbrough at Pride Park Stadium on Saturday (12:30pm kick-off).

The Rams claimed their first win of the season on home soil on Tuesday night as Paul Warne’s side qualified for Round Two of the Carabao Cup when they overcame Sky Bet League Two side Chesterfield with a 2-1 victory.

Michael Carrick’s Middlesbrough side have started the season with two wins from two games as they took all three points at the Riverside Stadium against Swansea City in their first game of the Championship season, picking up a 1-0 victory, and went through to the second stage of the Carabao Cup with an emphatic 3-0 win over Leeds United at Elland Road.

Team News

Head Coach Paul Warne will have the pick of most of his squad after the side's midweek Carabao Cup Round One win against Chesterfield.

Winger Corey Blackett-Taylor (quad) is ramping up his training regime but is unlikely to feature against Boro as he continues his recovery. Jake Rooney (knee) continues his rehabilitation after picking up his injury in pre-season.

Forward Jerry Yates also remains unavailable for selection as he completes the final game of a three-game suspension he picked up on the final day of last season when playing for parent Swansea City.
