CARABAO CUP: Derby To Learn Round Two Opponents On Wednesday Night

Derby County will discover their 2024/25 Carabao Cup Round Two opponents on Wednesday evening.

Paul Warne’s side secured their spot in the draw after overcoming Sky Bet League Two outfit Chesterfield at Pride Park Stadium on Tuesday night in Round One.

Derby were 2-1 winners as they came from a goal down to progress thanks to strikes from Liam Thompson and Kayden Jackson.

The Round Two draw of the competition will take place live on Sky Sports following the conclusion of the tie between Leeds United and Middlesborough at Elland Road.

Derby County are ball number seven in the Northern Section of the draw.

Sky Sports’ Carabao Cup presenter Caroline Barker will host the draw that will see the 13 Premier League Clubs not participating in European competitions enter the competition at this stage.

The Carabao Cup remains regionalised in the early rounds with the draw split into a southern and northern section until Round Three. Ball numbers for the Draw will be finalised on the morning of Wednesday 14th August.

Round Two ties will take place week commencing Monday 26th August.
