Derby County Under-21s’ fixtures for the 2024/25 Premier League Cup have been confirmed.
The competition begins with a group stage, that will run from September 2024 to the end of January 2025, with Jake Buxton’s Rams team playing six games, home and away, as they look to qualify for the knockout rounds.
The Premier League Cup will run alongside the Under-21s’ Premier League 2 and Central League fixture lists. Buxton’s team got their league season underway last Friday when they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Aston Villa on the opening day of the season.
The Under-21s will play in a group with Premier League clubs Chelsea, Bournemouth and Brentford.
Their first fixture will come on Friday 13th September against Bournemouth at Moor Farm Training Centre (7pm kick-off).
