Marli Rhodes-Andrews has made the decision to leave Derby County Women ahead of the 2024/25 season.


Rhodes-Andrews confirmed the news in a lengthy post on her Instagram account on Sunday.

The forward one of several players in the Derby County Women squad in the 2023/24 season to have come through the youth ranks.


She was part of Derby County Community Trust’s Regional Talent Centres from the age of 8 to 11, before progressing through the Academy up to being 16.

Rhodes-Andrews was part of a successful league and cup double for the Ewes’ Under-20s in the 2021/22 season and she stepped up to the senior side as a result of her performances at youth level.


She entered last season with 27 senior appearances and two goals against her name and she added to both those totals over the course of the 2023/24 campaign.

The youngster notably scored a hat-trick in a 3-3 draw at home to Halifax FC and netted twice in the side’s 5-0 National League Plate Second Round victory at Doncaster Rovers Belles early in the campaign.

She also featured in the historic National League Plate Final victory against Cambridge United in April, with Sam Griffiths’ side running out 3-0 winners on the day.

Rhodes-Andrews, who made 54 appearances in total and scored seven times in black and white, leaves Derby County with everyone’s very best wishes for the future and thanks for her contribution both on and off the field.
