PRE-SEASON PREVIEW: Shrewsbury Town (A)

Derby County’s pre-season games programme continues on Saturday with an away trip to Shrewsbury Town (3pm kick-off).

The Rams met Salop in competitive fixtures during last season’s Sky Bet League One promotion campaign, with the Shropshire club proving to be a tough test.

Taking on Paul Hurst's side will be another ideal workout for Paul Warne's squad ahead of the 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship season.

Team News

Derby’s latest signing David Ozoh got his first match minutes in Wednesday’s friendly against Chesterfield after signing on loan from Crystal Palace and will be hoping to get more time to familiarise himself with his new team-mates on Saturday.

Fellow summer signings Ben Osborn, Jerry Yates, Kayden Jackson, Kenzo Goudmijn and Ebou Adams should also be available for Warne’s squad.

Tyrese Fornah and Dajaune Brown are both stepping up their training as they continue their recovery from recent injuries, while defender Sonny Bradley came off at half-time in the game at Chesterfield with a tight hamstring. Joe Ward and Conor Washington could feature to get some match minutes for the first time in pre-season.

Meanwhile, Jake Rooney will be unavailable for selection after suffering a knee injury in training over a week ago in Spain.

Pre-Match Thoughts

Derby County supporters can purchase tickets on arrival at the stadium from 1:30pm on the day of the game. Sales are by cash ONLY at the Away Ticket Office.

Concessions

Proof of age may be required on entry for any concessionary tickets.

Collections are not available from away stadiums. Collections are only available from the Derby County Ticket Office, 48 hours after purchase.
