Louie Sibley has opted to bring his long association with Derby County to an end following the expiry of his contract.
The versatile midfielder was out of contract at the end of June and fresh terms were offered, but Sibley has decided to continue his playing career elsewhere.
Sibley, who is 22, first linked up with the club at Under-8s level and progressed right through the ranks in the Academy and into the first team fold.
He was a member of the Under-18s’ Premier League National Title success in 2018/19 alongside several team-mates who went on to feature for the senior side.
He made his first team debut in the 2019/20 season and netted a hat-trick in a 3-2 win at Millwall in June 2020, the first game following the break in the campaign owing to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Sibley leaves Derby after making 173 senior appearances in total, of which 101 were starts, and scoring 20 goals. He played 44 times and scored six goals in all competitions in the promotion-winning side from Sky League One during the 2023/24 season.
