Derby County forward Nathaniel Mendez-Laing has been in international action for Guatemala over the last fortnight.
It's only been a short break from action for the recently-crowned PFA League One Fans' Player of the Year, who linked up with his national team during May.
The 32-year-old has featured in three games over the last two weeks, one being a friendly and two 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
He featured in Guatemala's 1-1 friendly draw with Nicaragua on 27th May, coming on as a substitute on the hour mark.
But it's been competitive action over the last week for the Rams' number 11 as Los Chapines competed in two World Cup Qualifiers.
Mendez-Laing started and played over an hour in a dominant 6-0 win against Caribbean outfit Dominica on 6th June before again starting and playing just over an hour in a 3-0 win against British Virgin Islands on Saturday.
The results mean Guatemala sit top of Group E after two matches played.
Mendez-Laing will now return to his post-season break, sitting out Guatemala's friendly with Argentina this week, ahead of reporting back for pre-season training with Derby's squad in July to prepare for the 2024/25 campaign.
