Derby County will visit Sky Bet League One side Barnsley as part of their preparations for the fast-approaching 2024/25 Sky Bet Championship campaign.
The Rams will make the journey to Oakwell on Wednesday 31st July (7:45pm kick-off).
Darrell Clarke was recently appointed as the new Head Coach of Barnsley, who were beaten 5-4 on aggregate by Bolton Wanderers in the League One play-offs at the semi-final stage in May, and he swiftly added former Rams skipper Conor Hourihane to his ranks as a Player-Coach earlier this month.
Derby were 3-0 winners over Barnsley on home turf when they met in League One in their promotion-winning 2023/24 season, while they went down 2-1 at Oakwell in February despite taking the lead through defender Sonny Bradley’s header.
