Derby County Head Coach Paul Warne felt his side's performance in their 3-0 home victory over Leyton Orient on Saturday afternoon was a 'really comprehensive' one.

A Kane Wilson goal was added to by a brace from Sonny Bradley as the Rams picked up all three points to retain second place in the Sky Bet League One table with two matches left to play.

Speaking to RamsTV after the match, the Head Coach gave his verdict on the result.

On the result...

It is a big win. We needed it. In fairness, it looked like we had more energy than we did on Wednesday at Wycombe, but the fans must take a lot of credit for that because the place was bouncing. All in all, I'm really pleased. We were aware we'd be a threat on set-pieces, especially with Sonny Bradley playing. To score three goals is great and Matt Hamshaw, my First Team Coach, will be the Employee of the Week! We could have scored more goals and Joe Wildsmith didn't really have a save to make, but you never really feel comfortable until the second or third goes in.

On getting joy from set-pieces...

I've watched a lot of football but I've watched Leicester City and Leeds United fail to win in the last 24 hours. It's difficult to win at this stage of the season at the top. If you're not creating from open play, then you can rely on set-pieces. A set-piece goal can win you games and there is zero shame in that. I thought we were the better side and deserved to win but it's nice to re-emphasise the message with the set-piece goals.

On winning battles in the middle of the park...

We just looked energetic. I said to the lads at half-time that they look energetic and relentless. You have to win your scraps and your headers and I thought the three midfielders were excellent. It's not very often I feel like I don't need to change much but today felt like one of those days. It's nice not feeling like you have to change something. It was a really comprehensive performance.

On coping with the swings in momentum in the final few games...

You've just got to roll with it. If we'd have lost today, we would have been disappointed but there's no point crying with it. You just have to move on to the next game. You want the lads to play knowing the importance, but not too much. It will take swings. We haven't achieved anything yet, we've just got closer to where we want to be. It's a good day to be a Ram but all it has done is put us in a really good place. We still need to win two more games.
