Derby County Head Coach Paul Warne and midfielder Ebou Adams have been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Manager of the Month and Player of the Month awards for March.
Warne led the Rams to five wins out of six across the penultimate month of the league season, picking up an impressive 15 points out of a possible 18.
The pick of those wins was the 1-0 victory over automatic promotion rivals Bolton Wanderers at Pride Park Stadium, where a late Kane Wilson goal secured the team all three points.
Adams was a vital cog in the Rams' wheel throughout March, too.
The midfielder, on loan from Cardiff City for the rest of the season, featured in every game throughout the month and also notched his first assist and goal in a black and white shirt.
He set up striker Dwight Gayle for the second goal in the 3-0 home victory over Port Vale but, more crucially, bagged the winner in emphatic fashion with a superb strike in a 1-0 home success against Blackpool to round off March.
Warne faces opposition from Charlton Athletic’s Nathan Jones, Portsmouth‘s John Mousinho and Lincoln City’s Michael Skubaala whilst Adams will have to beat off competition from Charlton’s Alfie May, Sam Smith of Reading and Joe Taylor of Lincoln.
The Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprises of former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
The judging panel for the Sky Bet Player of the Month comprises of Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; EFL Chief Executive Trevor Birch and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
Winners will be announced on Friday 12th April 2024.
