Head Coach Paul Warne admitted Derby County were able to enjoy 'a really good day' following the 1-0 home victory over Blackpool on Easter Friday.

The Rams returned to winning ways at Pride Park Stadium and results were kind to them elsewhere across Sky Bet League One meaning their grip on second place is now strengthened to six points.

Speaking to RamsTV after the match, which was settled thanks to Ebou Adams' stunning first half strike, Warne gave his verdict on the performance.

On the result...

It's hard to win a game of football, it takes everything and everything you do matters. I thought, against a really good Blackpool side, we limited them to very few chances and it takes a lot of work from the coaches to do that. To come away with a win and a goal of that magnitude is befitting of a game like that. Overall, I'm really proud of the lads. The results have been kind to us and it's been a really good day. There were pockets of good stuff today and there were times where not everything was perfect but the result is - and that's all I worry about now. In the moments today we did enough to win. I'm pretty happy and I hope everyone that came today enjoyed it and I would like to say a big thank you for staying with the team.

On Ebou Adams' display...

He jumps so high on the goal celebrations, he should score more headers! He's been brilliant since he's been here. I've said from day one, he's a really good person first and foremost. He's a good footballer, a competitive one in the middle of the park. The only thing I don't like about him is when he's behind me, I think I'm getting booed!

On enjoying the moments at the end of the game with the fans...

You've got to enjoy being a footballer and you've got to enjoy playing under pressure when you're going for something. I want the lads to enjoy every moment of it. Pressure is a privilege. You are lucky if you are playing for something and having 30,000 people egging you on. Until you've achieved anything, you are just very close. There are a lot of teams close, and hopefully we can be very closer in a couple of weeks.

On James Collins returning and getting some minutes under his belt...

He's trained so hard, I honestly didn't think he'd be back this season. The fans know how much we've missed a nummber nine up front and how hard he works, and how hard Tommo worked when he came on too.
