Ryan Nyambe has extended his stay with Derby County by putting pen-to-paper on a deal until the end of the 2024/25 season.
The right-back initially joined Derby on a contract until January 2024 back in September of this year, arriving as a free agent after previously being with Blackburn Rovers and Wigan Athletic.
Following an impressive start to life at Pride Park Stadium, Nyambe has now committed his future to the Rams until the summer of 2025.
The 26-year-old has made 13 appearances in all competitions for Derby since his arrival and he quickly established himself as a regular in the side and a popular figure with supporters.
Capped by Namibia on several occasions, Nyambe recently registered 250 appearances in his professional career in English football.
He is also set to represent his country at the 2024 African Cup of Nations next month.
Reacting to the news, Head Coach Paul Warne said: “We’re delighted Ryan has extended his stay with us; it is great news.
“He’s settled into the group really well and is a great human being within the dressing room, while he’s also produced some impressive performances and I hope the fans can see why I wanted to sign him."
He added: “He has been brilliant for us and when he has been fit he has played pretty much every minute.”
