Derby County Women will hit the road once again this weekend when they head to AFC Fylde on Sunday afternoon (2pm kick-off).

dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you will need to know ahead of the FA Women's National League Northern Premier Division fixture.

Manager's Thoughts...

Manager Sam Griffiths wants her side to maintain their impressive run of form away from home this weekend.

They've played on three occasions on home turf and four times on the road so far in the league and their three victories have come on their travels at Stourbridge, Nottingham Forest and Huddersfield Town.

Griffiths said: “We’ve got another away day at Fylde and it feels like we’ll have played all the away games by Christmas at this rate!

“We seem to be doing well away from home so hopefully we can keep it going this weekend.”

From The Dressing Room...

Attacker Eleanor Ashton, who has scored five goals this term in three in her last three appearances, is relishing the clash with AFC Fylde.

Ashton, who turns 19 next month, joined Derby on a dual registration from Manchester United in the summer and has been a regular member of the Ewe’s frontline so far this term.

She says if the side can pick up back-to-back league wins for the first time this season, it will be a big boost in the Ewes' push into the top half of the table.

She said: "We're looking forward to the game. We are hoping to get another three points and keep getting points on the board as we look to push up the league."

The Season So Far...

Derby County Women have three wins and four defeats to their name in the league so far this term and sit in seventh place.

They started the season with a 2-1 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers, before bowing out of the League Cup at the Determining Round stage with a 4-2 loss on home turf against West Bromwich Albion.

A 3-2 loss at Liverpool Feds was then followed up with a 7-1 hammering of Stourbridge for their first away win of the season, prior to losing 1-0 to promotion favourites Newcastle United on home turf.

A 5-0 away win at Doncaster Rovers Belles in the First Round of the National League Plate earlier this month and the impressive 2-1 success at Nottingham Forest last Sunday was followed up with a 2-1 reverse aganist Stoke City at the Don Amott Arena last midweek.

However, they returned to winning ways last Sunday with a 4-0 success on the road at Huddersfield Town.
