Derby County goalkeeper Joe Wildsmith says the squad will go into Saturday's Sky Bet League One trip to Bolton Wanderers full of confidence off the back of back-to-back victories.

After tasting defeat twice in their opening three league matches the Rams have now won two on the spin, including last weekend's impressive 4-2 victory at Peterborough United.

Wildsmith spoke to RamsTV to preview Saturday's trip to Bolton Wanderers as Derby look to record back-to-back away wins.

On the start to the season...

It's been a bit mixed. There was a few teething problems to start with and some of those have been ironed out now. The results in the last couple of games have been really positive, especially for the group and the new faces and us building as a team. We go into the game at the Bolton hoping for the three points, we'll do the work in training and give ourselves the best chance to carry on that winning feeling.

On the Peterborough game...

I think the way we won at Peterborough, with us putting them to the sword in the first half and getting the game won, it really put a marker down for the league. It's been good to get off to that good start in terms of hitting the back of the net and now it's about bringing the whole team performance together and kicking on and building on those two wins.

On Bolton Wanderers...

It's going to be a tough game, we know that. Bolton are a team that have been together for quite a while, they have a good nucleus of their team and the manager has been there for a while and got his philosophy across. We know what's coming, it's going to be a tough game but the way we've been playing and the way we've got our last two wins - we take a lot of confidence as a team going into the match and we'll work towards that win.

On new players gelling...

It's not an excuse but it is going to take a little bit of time for the new players to bed in and we understand that but at the same time we felt like we were more than capable of taking three points in the games we haven't. We were really disappointed with the Wigan game on the opening day because we felt we had a real foothold in the game and in the Oxford one we weren't at our best and we needed to look at that and learn from that but I feel like the reaction to that has been really good and really positive.

On the goalkeeper's union this season...

It's really enjoyable. Josh Vickers has been a great addition to the group and he's fit in really well. The group is high spirit. Andy Warrington is a bit moody because he's hurt his ankle at the moment and Loachy is doing a bit more service but everyone is happy!

On the competition for number one with Josh Vickers...

It's just part and parcel of the game. There's always going to be someone that wants to play in your position and that's football. We'll push each other and push each other and that will bring the best out of us hopefully. It's all healthy competition. The goalkeeper's union is a bit different, everyone is together. I'll help him when he's playing and he'll help me when I'm playing. It's a really good dynamic, everyone is there to help each other and whoever is playing is playing.

On Scott Loach...

He beasts himself! He's at it every day. He's in the gym, he's in the pool and he loves being here. He's got so much experience, he's got so much to give to everyone and his enthusiasm to training and bettering himself every day rubs off on people.
