Derby County's new midfielder Tyrese Fornah says he's 'over the moon' to have put pen-to-paper.

Fornah, who has joined Derby from local rivals Nottingham Forest, says there was no apprehension about making the move across the East Midlands and explained that he's now fully focused on succeeding with the Rams.

The 23-year-old spoke to RamsTV upon completion of his move to express his delight at getting a deal done.

On completing the move...

It feels really good to be here. I'm just over the moon to finally be a Derby player and I can't wait to get started.

On joining from Nottingham Forest...

There was no apprehension about the move.

For me this was an amazing opportunity and something that I can't wait to get started with.

I had an amazing time with Forest, I've been there since I was 17 and come through the ranks before progressing into the first-team so for me it's just about football and enjoying my football and being somewhere I'm appreciated. That's the main thing for me.

On his loan spells...

I've grown as a person during them, that's the most important thing as a young footballer. I'm still young, I'm only 23 but I feel very mature thanks to the experiences and I feel that this is the right time to express myself and spread my wings permanently.

On whether a permanent move was important...

It was very important because I'm a family man. I love my family, my girlfriend and my dog. It was important that they were on board with me too for an exciting new chapter.

On what supporters can expect from him...

All action. I like to tackle, I like to drive forward with the ball - I think that's probably my best attribute. I love driving the ball forward and taking players on in the centre of the pitch because ultimately I'm a midfielder and now I just want to add goals into my team and become the complete player.
