Derby County will get the 2023/24 Carabao Cup campaign started with a Round One tie against Blackpool on Tuesday night.
Derby will host their Sky Bet League One rivals on home turf as they look to bounce back from the 2-1 home loss to Wigan Athletic on the opening day of the season at the weekend.
In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know...
Rams Team News
Forward Tom Barkhuizen missed most of pre-season after injuring his calf in the opening friendly fixture against Matlock Town last month. He has picked up a further niggle after returning to training and willl miss out against the Seasiders.
Attacking midfielder Louie Sibley did not feature in the Rams' pre-season games campaign owing to a calf problem and, despite being close to a return to training, he will again miss out.
Striker Martyn Waghorn is in line to feature after joining the club on a one-year deal on Monday. He has been training with the Rams in recent weeks after leaving Coventry City and has impressed Head Coach Paul Warne enough to earn a permanent deal to seal his return to Derby after spending three seasons at Pride Park Stadium between 2018 and 2021.
Pre-Match Thoughts
Assistant Head Coach Richie Barker spoke to RamsTV on Monday afternoon to look back on the opening day loss against Wigan Athletic on home turf and also preview the Carabao Cup meeting with the Seasiders.
