Derby County midfielder Jason Knight has been included in the final Republic of Ireland squad for their upcoming international fixtures.
Knight was picked for the provisional squad ahead of the June match-ups and attended a training camp in Bristol last month, but has now been selected for the final squad for their UEFA 2024 European Championship qualifiers against Greece and Gibraltar.
Ireland
will take on Greece in Athens on Friday 16th June and then Gibraltar on
Monday 19th June at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin as part of their
qualifying campaign which began with a narrow 1-0 defeat against France
in March.
Still only 22, Knight has been a regular in Stephen Kenny's squad since his debut in October 2020.
He's bagged 18 caps to date for The Boys in Green, scoring one goal and providing three assists in that time.
The versatile midfielder made 47 appearances for Derby in the 2022/23 season, scoring three times.
Congratulations, Knighty!
