Derby County return to Sky Bet League One action when Morecambe visit Pride Park Stadium on Saturday (3pm kick-off).

The Rams go into the game on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Premier League side West Ham United and will be looking to respond instantly against the Shrimps.

In the lead-up to the game getting underway, dcfc.co.uk has brought together all the key information you need to know…

Team News

Vice-captain Max Bird will face a spell of around four weeks on the sidelines after picking up a groin injury in the FA Cup defeat to West Ham United on Monday.

The versatile Louie Sibley is back in contention for Saturday's fixture after missing the last two matches with a groin problem.

Striker David McGoldrick missed the FA Cup clash with the Hammers with a minor knee issue but should come back into contention for Saturday.

Deadline day loan signing Harvey White is fit and available and could make his debut at Pride Park this weekend in midfield with Bird sidelined, while goalkeeper Luke McGee could also feature in the squad after signing on loan from Forest Green Rovers last week.

Central defender James Chester continues to work his way back to fitness after suffering a calf injury last month.

Warne's Words

Head Coach Paul Warne sat down with RamsTV and discussed the return to league action on Saturday.

He said: "Morecambe frustrated us back in November, when we drew 1-1 at their place, but they did cause us problems as well. They've scored a lot of good counter-attacking goals recently and are good on set-pieces.

"They are going to come here on a really good run with a bit of positivity so this game is no easier or harder than Sheffield Wednesday at home. They are just going to come here and pose different questions."

From The Dressing Room

Defender Haydon Roberts spoke to RamsTV to preview Saturday's clash with Morecambe.

He said: "We've just got to do the usual, the basics. We don't change whether we're playing West Ham or Morecambe.

"It's different opposition but we treat them the same because if you take one game more seriously than the other than it changes the mentality. We've got a winning mentality so we treat every game the same."

Match Officials

Craig Hicks will take charge of Saturday's match between the Rams and the Shrimps.

Adam Ricketts and Helen Edwards will assist him whilst Mark Cunliffe is on fourth official duties.

Hicks has been the man in the middle for 19 games so far this season with the majority of those being in Sky Bet League One and Two.

He's handed out 69 yellow cards, one red and awarded three penalties to date.
