Derby County midfielder Harvey White was delighted to see the side get back to winning ways following the Rams' 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

The on-loan Tottenham Hotspur midfielder made his first start since his January move to Pride Park Stadium and played a vital role in the side grabbing an important three points on home turf.

Speaking to RamsTV after the match, White gave his reflection on the performance.

On the game...

I feel really good to help the team get the win. Playing in front of about 30,000 fans is incredible, it feels really good.

On when he found out he was starting...

We found out on Friday morning so I had a lot of time to prepare myself for the game.

On the role he is playing in...The

The boss wanted me to play a bit deeper with Conor, get on the ball and play forward as much as possible, which suits me really well. I was trying to switch the ball from left to right and in behind and hopefully you saw that a lot today. Off the ball the boss wants us to win tackles, be energetic and get about the pitch.

On the recent mood in the dressing room...

You wouldn't know that we hadn't won the last two as the lads have been so upbeat and ready for the next game. Everyone knows the games come thick and fast. As a group of lads, we know how confident we are to get the three points and we showed that today.

On if he's managed to play much golf, as a keen player, around Derby...

I haven't played much to be fair, only twice. When the lighter evenings start coming around I'll be playing quite a bit but not the day before a game!
