Derby County supporters are being encouraged to take part in Writing East Midlands’ 'We. Are. Derby' project, which is designed to help document memories of the club and keep them safe for future generations.

The project, launched in December 2022, is being led by poets and well-known Derby County fans Jamie Thrasivoulou and Sophie Sparham, who will be on hand to help those taking part to record their memories for future generations.

It doesn’t matter if any story is modern or historic, long or short. Supporters can write them or speak about them and Writing East Midlands will jot them down. Eventually, all the memories will be made into an archive, and a creative piece of work, which will be housed at Pride Park Stadium.

Derby County means something different to everyone, and Writing East Midlands want to hear from as many different people as possible for the ‘We.Are.Derby.’ project.

How To Get Involved

Drop-in open sessions with the Writing East Midlands writers are taking place at Harrison’s Hub at the Community Corner at Pride Park Stadium, throughout Derby and online via Zoom.
