Team News

Defender Eiran Cashin missed Saturday's win over Bolton Wanderers with a tight hamstring and is having his fitness monitored ahead of Tuesday night's match.

Louie Sibley also missed Saturday's victory with a groin issue and the Rams are awaiting the outcome of a scan to learn how long he will be out of action for.

Defender James Chester (calf) continues to work his way back to fitness from a calf problem.

Richie Barker's Thoughts

Assistant Head Coach Richie Barker was on media duties on Monday afternoon to preview Tuesday night's game.

He said: "Darrell Clarke is an excellent manager in terms of managing people and he gets Port Vale working extremely hard. They are a newly promoted team but they've been touching the edge of the play-offs for quite a while now.

"I appreciate the fact we had a man sent off in the reverse fixture back in October, when we lost 2-1, but it wasn't an easy game. Port Vale are very organised and everyone knows their role. They are very aggressive from set-pieces and Vale Park is a difficult place and a relatively local game so a good crowd will be there from our point of view."

From The Dressing Room

Midfielder Jason Knight spoke to RamsTV ahead of Tuesday evening's clash.

He said: "It's going to be a tough game. We saw when we played them at home in October that they are a tough side to play against. They've come up from League Two and done really well this season, so it's going to be really tough and hopefully we can get a good result."

Match Officials

Ben Toner will take charge of Tuesday evening's fixture with Johnathon Bickerdike and Ollie Williams his assistants.

Christopher Ward will be on fourth official duties for the contest.

Toner has taken charge of 26 games so far this season including one of the Rams', the Papa Johns Trophy penalty shoot-out defeat to Mansfield Town back in October following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes.

Across those 26 matches, he's handed out 78 yellow cards, awarded four penalties and is yet to hand out a straight red card.

Rams On The Road

RamsTV are running a feature for every Sky Bet League One away fixture this season called 'Rams On The Road'.

In this instalment, we take an in-depth look at the Valiants.

Derby were handed a total allocation of 3,902 tickets for the match and these have now completely sold out. No further tickets will be made available.
