Team News
Defender James Chester (calf) remains an absentee and will be unavailable for Saturday's game against the Owls.
Goalkeeper Joseph Anang (arm) is at the final stages of his rehabilitation work and could return to training soon.
Skipper Curtis Davies (knee), fellow defender Haydon Roberts (hamstring) and winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing (hamstring) all trained on Thursday and will be assessed on Friday as to whether or not they will be available for selection against the Owls.
Warne’s Words
Head Coach Paul Warne spoke to RamsTV ahead of the first league outing at Pride Park Stadium for over a month.
He said on Sheffield Wednesday: “Darren Moore is a really good bloke, he's done a good job at Wednesday and built a team over the last couple of transfer windows to be really competitive - and they are.
"Their league position doesn't lie and they will be up and about there come the end of the season so if we can be competitive against a team like that, then we are making the right steps."
From The Dressing Room
Winger Tom Barkhuizen spoke to RamsTV following his return to action from injury and previewed Saturday's match.
He said: "I’ve had some good and horrendous games against Sheffield Wednesday in my time and I think I played my second ever game against them. They are a team I’ve played against quite a lot which I’m sure a lot of the experienced boys have and even the younger boys that have played a lot of games have.
"It’s going to be a tough game but we need to be at it like we are every game. We won’t treat it any differently to whether we were playing Forest Green at home or Morecambe away – we go into it wanting to win."
Match Officials
Dean Whitestone will take charge of Saturday’s game between the Rams and the Owls with Daniel Leach and Matthew Smith his assistants.
Benjamin Speedie is on Fourth Official duties for the contest.
Whitestone has been the man in the middle for 13 matches so far this season, the majority of those coming in the Championship.
He’s dished out 39 yellow cards, zero reds and awarded four penalties.
